Dear Love Thy Neighbor Supporters,
The picture with Anthony shows a man who not only was so grateful for the electric wheelchair we gave him, but he actually was a gift to me with his enthusiasm and pure joy. When I prayed with him tears rolled down his cheek. He said one of our staff members prays with him every morning and he looks forward so much to that call. Before we left, he said every night he would pray that we could help more people. The blessings certainly goes both ways!
Take a look at the podcast. I was interviewed by John Smallwood who hosted our fundraiser, and it chronicles how I got involved in charity work. I share how the Lord intervened in the direction of my life. How I needed to learn some lessons before I could teach or share with others. My life had to change before I could change another. With six other women in 1990 we gathered together and prayed every week which lasted 4 years! By the end of that time, we were different more attuned to the Lords leading and then God opened the door for Love Thy Neighbor (Love INC at the time) 30 years ago in 1994.
I’m so grateful for our wonderful staff to be part of this ministry and continue a legacy in this area. We are all part of God’s plan and have an impact with others whether its family, friends or strangers.

Love Thy Neighbor (formerly Love in the Name of Christ) is a faith-based initiative in Monmouth County, NJ with a mission to mobilize the Church to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ.
A special note during these difficult times from the Executive Director
Dear Friends, as you may know, I am the Executive Director of Love Thy Neighbor, a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry. We are in Crisis Mode when it comes to affordable housing in Monmouth County. We had in 2023, 518 requests for housing assistance in an emergency and we see that their income can support it. When it comes to new housing unfortunately there are no good answers.

As a Community Clearinghouse we screen and validate all of the needs as well as maintain a database of the county, state, and federal assistance programs. Thank you for praying for us! There can be no greater help than that.
